The Valley by Eisley

Hi! I've been wanting to start doing short music reviews on here so here goes nothing! =]

Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE the band Eisley. They are a family band hailing from Tyler, TX composed of three gorgeous sisters (Chauntelle, Sherri, and Stacy) their brother (Weston) and cousin (Garron). In march of 2011 they released their third full length album titled The Valley. When I fell in love with the band it was early 2012 I was looking around for new music to check out on JesusFreakHideout.Com and clicked on their link and saw that they had a few CDs already so I went on over to YouTube and searched "The Valley by Eisley" the first video that came up was of the three ladies singing the title track The Valley acoustic. It was amazing! I was hooked from that moment on. Within a short amount of time I went to one of the nearby Christian bookstores and bought The Valley CD. I was completely floored by beautiful harmonies and by how ridiculously talented one family could be. The album is pretty much a total break up album. If you are going through a break up this is for you! I recommend this CD to anyone though. All eleven of the songs are beautifully and very well written. It is pure magic for your ears!

Here's the track listing!
1. The Valley
2. Smarter
3. Watch It Die
4. Sad
5. Oxygen Mask
6. Better Love
7. I Wish
8. Kind
9. Mr. Moon
10. Please
11. Ambulance

You can get this album and all of Eisley's other albums at Eisley.com!

Thinking...

Okay first off let me say that this will sound more like me venting or ranting aimlessly more than anything.. (So sorry!) But anyway lately life seems kinda tough and uncertain and I know that as I get older that things will change and only get harder in life for me and all my life all I have ever wanted and prayed for was that God would show me His will that is specific to my life and what He wants me to do for Him and honestly I never have gotten a straight answer or felt lead to do any specific thing or have any specific job and that's disappointing to me as a Christian, also recently I decided that I would start a project that could maybe one day become a job so I and a friend planned the whole thing out and started working on this project and I got so excited about it but then my friend decided that it just wasn't going to work out and the plan didn't pan out...(when I say pan out I mean more like it died. Shot to the heart, my heart, it was like an airplane that had two engines but lost one and sputtered and spun plummeting to its certain death.) *insert explosion sound effect here* so needless to say it really disappointed me that it wasn't happening and made me feel that I possibly would never do anything great in the world (not that I want fame or anything) I just want to be able to reach people and to be a shining light for God so that maybe through me others would want to know Him. But anyway I have had a thought..  that maybe even if I don't know exactly what He has for me that wherever I am all He really wants is my heart and for me to serve Him no matter what I do and that I should go for whatever I want to and keep Him first through it all. And I don't know if that is right either but it's worth a try (going for whatever comes to mind that sounds like a fun job that I'll love doing I mean) so with that being said I have a new project (I say project because if it doesn't work out then well at least no one will know how I failed hahaha) I've started working on and I'm really hoping that it will work out. If it does at some point work out then I'll praise Him for it and if not I'll still praise Him.
Now you may or may not have or experienced something similar but if so here are a couple of Bible verses that helped me remember that it will all be okay and that worrying isn't worth it...=]
Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope
Sincerely,
Sarah xoxo

Sun gazing

Sooo I'm just going to take a minute to brag on my Jesus and His awesomeness!! I love anything to do with astronomy and the sky! Sunsets are my absolute favorite! Every time I look at the setting sun I think "Wow, God! you're soo amazing." and I totally start thanking God for the work of art He has given us. And on a clear night I look up and am in awe of the might that God must have to have all of those stars just hang there in place! He is just so amazing to me! And while I'm thinking about it even the way He holds the ocean in place I'm so unworthy you know? I mean who are we to be loved and guided by Someone as magnificent as God?! Okay soo anywayyyy on this note there's been a lot of hype about the transit of Venus!! it's where Venus passes between the Earth and the Sun (which you probably already know....) but it's soo awesome and I'm so blessed to be able to witness it .....I'm excited about it haha I mean hey....it won't happen again until 150 years have gone buy....thats a long time man! So, me being the geekish dork that I am I took a picture!!!

theres a tiny littllleee dot there on the lovely green sun called VENUS!!!
its on the upper right hand.
